Copy Paste Soul returns with the release of, ‘The Fall’ which sounds just as excellent on his re-launched 2Swords imprint. This is a positively sparkling production that aims for the very heart of Detroit with its punchy Techno bassline and atmospheric backing of notable synths. Sounding crisp and fresh this inescapably funky number sets its own agenda and is complimented by the more intense, ‘The Reverend’ which spins out a preacher’s sermon across a rich seam of heavy bass organ and fiery drums. The Laurent Garnier Remix of the title track ends with a moodier take on the original that initially lends it a more haunting quality, but then builds with a fierce intensity during its course of nine minutes. Either way a great track.
