French-born, Geneva-based Lee van Dowski has long been a pioneering force in the global tech house scene. As a key member of the Cadenza family he has had countless seminal releases on labels like Memento and Material Series and here teams up with Dean Demanuele for a new EP on his Dazed & Confused Recordings label. The title track here is a full fat bit of tech house with thick and heavy hits, a nagging synth line that rides up and down and plenty of driving kicks. Next cut Mine O Mine is more nuanced, subtle and deep. The rubbery kicks roll below various synthy details and warm chord patterns that bring plenty of human loveliness to the groove. Finally, Shove It Up gets all slick, quick licked and funky with its melted and rippling chords, keen synth details and infectious sense of rhythm. Once again here the man like Lee has stuck pure club gold.
