Copy Paste Soul – The Push EP (incl. No Artificial Colours Remix) – (Two Swords)

If you, like me, like your techno to have a lot of funk, soul and some quirky humourous noises that lift it, then Copy Paste Soul’s ‘The Push EP’ will make you leap out of your dayskin and straight into party with the speed that Clark Kent turns into Superman in a revolving door. ‘Push’ is a percussive builder that pushes the tempo and rhythm patterns in such a way that it could perfectly align the San Andreas fault plates. Mad Tech’s No Artificial Colours mine a darker seam, going heavy on the disco sleaze and swinging like a rave babboon on a jungle sized bassline. Add ‘Before’ a slice of deep and jazzy instrospection laced with flash forwards of stormtroopers, white corridors and some frenzied intergalactic warfare. Sharpen your elbows and push to the front of the queue for this one.
