Just in case you were any doubt of this records importance from 1982 then Tirk supply eleven different versions for you choose from. But then this has attained its classic status, transposed from the eighties until today, by its sheer excellence alone (never mind the overstated influence on Blue Monday). One of a handful of very influential Italian styled dance records of the era, ‘Dirty Talk’ seems more cherished than most which is why remixes come from the likes of Daniele Baldelli and DJ Rocca, Ruf Dug, Toby Tobias, Dee & Mannino, plus Greg Wilson. Mario Boncaldo alongside Tony Carrasco formed the nucleus of Klein & MBO and it’s their original instrumental version that still shines in 2015 coming complete with sassy Hi-Nrg bass and expansive, stereo drum sounds. All of the remixes pay homage in one way or another, some advancing the concept further, while others seek to tweak the influences. Either way you can now soak up this feast of electronic sound all for yourself.
