The Colonels finger-licking crackle – you know the kind, sort of a semi-falsetto purr chewing on brown sugar from the side of the mouth – launches into Amp Fiddler-style spell-casting straight from the off, right down to the ghetto fly-waltzing sleeve. Neo-soul designs upped to broken beat and then near-house beats, all offer cool-handed yet industrious instrumentation and Reds smoked vocals dividing his workload into fully sung numbers and concentrating on the rhythm. While he isnt much of a risk-taker, with everything placed as it should be, his reliability prompts you to always bet on Blue Eye Blak.
