Delivering music for his debut on the envelope pushing Toy Tonics the highly prized DJ/ Producer Pezzner one again doesn’t disappoint. Opening with the shimmering Hi-Nrg strut of ‘Power Rockin 97x’ and it’s blistering Giorgio Moroder styled synthesizers (that’s the 70’s not Daft Punk) the tension soon expands via the not so gentle introduction of edgy voices and caustic sound effects, all offset by a rather snazzy snare drum. The numbers game continues with the brooding, tough beats and pulsating bass belonging to ‘Seventy Six’ which alongside a hypnotic vocal treatment and invigorating percussion leaves an equally indelible impression. ‘Eros’ proceeds with stuttering synth stabs accompanied by more deep bass, this time complimented by almost ambient layers of warm sound. ‘Autosave My Love’ completes the excellent release with a different, funkier set of notes that add a welcome flirtation with melody to highlight the artists’ diverse approach to music.
