More Piers pressure, this time letting a small but definite Supermen Lovers ‘Starlight’ vibe fill the air, topped up with some cheekily well-employed 80s tricks – jacking handclaps, stabs and riffs taken back 20 years – as well as a guitarist deftly picking the frets and Ms Bingham’s loose drawl sorting out the riff-raff. Thumbs-up for the redefinition of ‘fools gold’.
