This one is hot. It has a very smooth feel to things, a certain sense of contained swagger, knowing what is necessary to bring the club off and what will rinse the energy from the dancefloor. The arrangement is very beguiling, pulling you gradually further in as the groove develops, whilst all the time a solid layer of pulsating hi-hats flows and keeps your feet moving. Typically the break is understated, as eerie, twisting pads and a spooky, spoken vocal, sit confident in the knowledge that once that groove crashes back in- its all going to go right off. Flipping her over and things head for a darker, dirtier,”Lights Out” kind of vibe, with sinister bass synths, scary stabs and odd ball effects. Eek.
