Mat.Joe is a Berlin based duo that really know how to make electrifying home and tech tunes that get both DJs and dancers excited. They are regulars on the Mother Recordings label and after a fine outing with their Swipe The Card EP here back in October 2015, they are now back with Jungle Fever, which includes two more standout cuts from the boys.
The two tracks are quite different from each other. One is called Music On and is a barrelling main room house cut that will make people sweat. It has dramatic filters, pinging drums and shooting synths and is electric to say the least. The other, which is the best one if you ask me, is Jungle Fever. This one is breezy and cool, full of open air, al fresco charm and hints of african vibes. That is thanks to the tribal drums and the chanting vocals. Hand claps and warm melodies, wooden drums and organic perc all mark it out as a really crowd pleasing tune for the warm months ahead. Both cuts here are fresh and original, well produced and are sure to make DJs and dancers fawn after them for months to come.
