In it’s original form Britalics. ‘I Can See Through U’ shows a certain royal purple funkiness, with a hint of Jackson 5 and a dash of Basement Jaxx.
Hughes and Spier are up first on the mixing desk, adding plenty of big room bounce and making the most of Manuela‚s Madonna-esque vocals, before wrapping them up in a climaxing 303. Matteo Esse and Sant also give their fellow Italians a huge make over, with pounding tribal drums and a vast amount of distortion on the vocal, bringing out the songs darker side.
