It had to happen sometimes, Imagination’s biggest club hit 1982’s ‘Just An Illusion’ gets tweaked for modern days’ floors. Famous Argentinian DJ Dero drops his trademark battacudas for a heads down, after-hours New Jersey vibe built around the re-recording of the song with the band’s legendary vocalist Leee John. Stripped down to the bone, this re-rub is baad. The main keyboard riff gets looped endlessly up to the breakdown which slowly goes back to the old version (and its tempo), it’s then back to the usual frantic 4/4 electrofunk.
