Having started as discoïd, Whoop!’s sister label Kinky Vinyl keeps on evolving and has recently been assimilating the lessons of electro into its clubby progressive. You can hardly fail when covering a record as popular as Laidback’s classic ‘White Horse’; Wonderland Avenue’s mix does the job but stays a little too literal. On the other hand Mike Monday’s remix brings in a different flavour that takes this eighties fave one step further.
