This is one hell of an assault on the 80’s from the Kingsize crew. The original mixes are pure early 80’s soul, ridiculously authentic in the choice of instrumentation. This type of sound is from the dawn of proto house music, reminiscent of tracks by The Beach Boys and Colonel Abrahams, massive bass sounds, 808 toms, sharp claps and huge dollops of reverb over the whole mix. Will sound massive in a club and definitely a new look at the retro house phenomenon. The real gem is left until last however for the Bones & Ramsey Mix – a totally spot on concoction of current London acid house – rising bass noises, trance arpeggios and all manner of wibbly wobbly madness forming a heady brew. The sound of the future. You heard it here…
