Kinetic understands the need to be multi-faceted; this is satisfactory radio material, even if the North Londoner’s skills suffer through trying too hard. Forceful venue-hopper ‘London Tonight’ takes top honours, ahead of club banger ‘However’ partying over calculated dancehall beats, synth riffs and a chorus updating the Hokey-Cokey. ‘Memories’ again nails misty-eyed convention, recalling the past over a sped-up sample.
