The Californian junkies of the good groove return with one of their funkiest slabs o’ soulful house for sometime, not least thanks to Solara’s sassy vocal, some slick sax accompaniment and a killer bassline. This newcomer’s oh-so-distinctive vocal inflection and panache smacks of the charm of that other notable lady of garage, Barbara Tucker. The net constituents add up to a feel good jam and one classy hybrid of US house. An attention grabber with enough subtle qualities to match the tight ‘n’ sophisticated production.
