Mike Gray and John Pearn turn out yet another standout production on their own Dtension imprint. Coming in vocal and instrumental versions, the classy ‘Better Than Perfect’ is big-room disco of the silky kind, nostalgic, sexy and very French-sounding indeed. The mood is evocative thanks to ecstatic pad chords and sultry vocals but the energy’s sustained all the way.
