Before trance the Dutch liked their house funky and ravey. With much attention to percussion and groove, tracks were packed with energy and staggering highs and lows. On ‘Above’, Fable combines a bit of now with a bit of then, kinda Tiësto and René & Gaston all rolled into one. Inspired and relentless, ‘Nightshift’ is slightly deeper but still driving and striking with its strong nostalgic line.
