Top-line writer to the stars (the Minogue sisters, ATB and Stonebridge amongst the aggregate) Bruce Elliott-Smith launches his Archangel label with a re-recorded weekender classic. He even managed to persuade soul avatar George Duke to re-vocal the 1980 anthem, while Mat Bradshaw and Mike Perry respectfully give it a contemporary club edge. Whisper it quietly: it’s ok – the music formerly known as jazz-funk is acceptable again!
