LET ME BE
MAELSTROM

Tiësto filling up Brixton Academy two nights in a row is a clear sign that trance, like football and other mass celebrations, is a long way from dying. ‘Let Me Be’, which has been championed by the world-famous Dutch DJ, is another decent pop-prog epic à la Delirium’s ‘Silence’ (the chord structure is above average). What’s more in the hands of Canada’s Alex Axx Koss, it turns into a less formularised vibey groover (also Mike Koglin and Karl G remixes).
