Trainspotting with TheFREEZproject

Atlanta producer FREEZ’s love for music began early – his parents owned a nightclub, setting the stage for a lifelong journey. Based in Napoli, Italy for a while, FREEZ made waves as a DJ and launched an entertainment company for DJs and live bands, while sharpening his production skills through digital recording. Since then, he’s worked with the likes of Vjuan Allure as Groovmakerz, Cassio Ware and Barbara Tucker. After returning to the U.S., FREEZ was introduced to house music icons DJ Spen and Thommy Davis, an electrifying connection that sparked the club smash “Jungle Deep” with DJ Scoob. Riding that wave, he has produced and remixed several Quantize and Unquantize releases. FREEZ is currently cooking up fresh projects with Robin S., Kevin Bryant, Tasha LaRae, Darryl D’Bonneau, and DJ Naeem Johnson, promising even more heat on the way. As his new single with Robin S, ‘Don’t Let Go’ lands on Quantize, DMCWorld goes Trainspotting with TheFREEZproject.

Robin S & TheFREEZproject – Don’t Let Go – Quantize Recordings

This is my first drop with the queen herself—Robin S. It’s straight-up dancefloor energy: chunky keys, gospel fire, and that ‘Show Me Love’ spirit. When I need to lift the room, this one does the job every time.

Darryl D’Bonneau & Reggie Steele – Hope – New Generation

This one hits different—when Darryl’s vocals pour through the system, it’s like a spiritual reset. I play it when the crowd needs that emotional release… real house with heart.

MissFly & Mr.Eclectic – Loving Is Easy –  Pasqua Records

This is a smooth groove for those deeper sets—MissFly floats on the beat, and Mr. Eclectic lays the perfect vibe. It’s a sunset burner that keeps dancers locked in that soulful pocket.

Doug Gomez & Lukamusic – My Life In The Sunshine – Merecumbe

An instant vibe. I drop this when the sun’s low or when the energy needs something bright and deep. It’s soulful, percussive, and always gets heads nodding and hips moving.”. Organic, musical and deceptively deep.

Rochelle Fleming & Terry Hunter – **Balls 2 Bounce (Terry Hunter Main Mix, Mirror Ball)

This one is pure heat—disco diva Rochelle brings the fire, and Terry Hunter’s drums give it that floor-shaking punch. When I want to blend soulful vocals with heavy drive, this is my weapon.

Merlin Bobb & Mark Francis – Don’t Play With My Heart – Access Records

This is that smooth NJ groove I reach for in the early stretch of a set, bouncy bass, slick organ stabs, and a vocal that keeps the flirtation flowing without overdoing it.

DJ Spen – The Fifth (Of Beethoven) (Geoffrey C Remix) – Unquantize

Geoffrey C flipped a classical anthem into a peak-time Afro-house banger. It’s raw, relentless, and always gets hands in the air when that iconic melody drops.

Lood, Masters At Work feat. Donell Rush – Shout‑N‑Out (Cafe 432 & Ronnie Herel Remix)  – MAW Records

This remix bridges old-school and new-school perfectly—Cafe 432 and Ronnie Herel lace it with smooth synths, a rolling deep-house bounce, and Donell Rush still cuts through like it’s 1995.

Cynthia Tucker – Summertime (It’s Hot) (TheFREEZproject & Tiger Wilson Fuoco Mix) – Souled Out House

I teamed up with Tiger Wilson Fuoco to bring a fresh summer heat to Cynthia Tucker’s classic vibe. This mix blends sultry vocals with a bumping deep house groove that keeps the dance floor warm and moving all night.

Naeem Johnson – Uprising (AfroSoul Mix) – Souled Out House

When I need that uplifted groove with soul and swing, I cue up ‘Uprising.’ The AfroSoul Mix is all about rhythmic percussion, live instrumentation, and warm melodic layers—it builds steadily and holds dancers in a smooth, emotive flow. Deep and moving, but always danceable.
