THE record that stood out for me last week during a glorious house affirming 12 hrs at DC10, 2 years ago it would have been called ‘soulful techno’ and played by people like FK at Deep Space today it fits into just about every house DJ’s (who spins without blinkers) set. Like “Rej” its one of those minimal stripped down tracks that provides a sounds-cape to 10 mins of your life and shouldn’t be used as a mere mixing tool to someone’s K-Hole experience. If any criticism can be made of ‘shadows’ its that the last 2 mins should go on forever… this record needs a sticker stating “no mixing out till the very end”.
