Could well be something of a summer anthem for Dooley. Love’s lines, angles, and rhymes are dealt with in typically laconic fashion, over a funky backing that’s got that current sounding early 90’s vibe to it, particularly the drums and bass. Add to this the twisted and manipulated soul diva hook and you’ve got something that extra bit special. “Over You” continues on a similar theme, detailing the trials of a relationships against expectations and job strains over a melancholy jazz-loop. “Aahaa” is the final track, a more positive party cut with dirty horns and a bluesy piano riff.
