Anjunabeats regulars Koglin and Pledger have teamed up in the studio and turned out something quite special. As ever in trance, the formula is very much the same as it’s always been: intro/melodic breakdown/and back to pumping. So it’s down to the chords (and the feeling they provide) to make the difference. With its orchestral arrangement and bleep hook (not mentioning the shivery percussion and pumping kick/snare), ‘Ultraviolet’ unquestionably hits that nostalgic spot (also electro-prog makeover from Phatjack).
