‘Save Our Souls’ is Silicone Soul’s forthcoming third album, and what we’ve got here is the first taster of what’s to come. ‘The Pact’ starts out on driving high tech funk that features a familiar bass riff, hissing hats and brass stabs, before dropping down to introduce old school hands in the air piano, and from then on it’s smiley faces all round. Over on the flip you’ll find in contrast ‘The Unforgiven Dub’, a moody cut with brooding soundscapes and an edgy tinkling of the ivory’s.
