Oh my god, not one, but two pieces of sublime house music springing off this delightful release from Border Community. The A Side “Some Polyphony” transports us immediately to the middle of a sweaty moshpit, reveling in the visceral energy of a record that can join the searing energy of huge analogue bass with orchestral strings which bend in and out of shape adding a cerebral edge to this mind blowingly good dancefloor record. Just watch the club erupt as that first breakdown hits. This has to be one of the greatest set-opening records of the year. Flip over for “Untight” and be reminded of skipping through sunny meadows, chasing dandelions and rolling down hills as this blissfully summery tune washes over you like a cool summer breeze. Two absolute winners you must own.
