What’s The Best Night Out You’ve ever Had?
Well Dj wise it has to be Glastonbury 2000 in the dance tent it was the first time me & Pj went there, what an experience. It seemed like the summer of love all over again. As for a best night out ever I can’t really say as I’m always out (party to the grave).
What’s Your Favorite Club?
My favorite club “Electric ballroom” Camden Town London, the first time I went was in 1982 when hip hop arrived in England. This was a special time and place seeing body popping and break dancing for the first time.

Well I have to say “George Clinton” Knee Deep; this has to be one of the funkiest tunes ever made. I went to this years Notting Hill carnival and Rappertack played it boyyyyyyy nuff gun signals.

Bitty Mclean “On Bond St” this classic reggae album with lot’s of samples great tunes and Bitties wicked vocals, this is an album for the older heads. (check it out for yourself)

Reggae for the attitude and bass lines that it brings, Hip Hop for the beats and breaks it brought to the world and freedom to express in different ways. The last influence is the most important because it has it in anything good “Soul”.

The name Shut Up And Dance came from a song we wrote many moons ago entitled Shut Up And Dance, we thought it would work as our new name as we were called Private Party at the time.
