It’s already a decade since Pamela Fernandez urged dancefloors to kicking in the beat. Originally out on Cutting records this great song summed up well the whole NY Latin hip-hop scene and eventually became a huge hit in the UK and beyond. Although you can always question re-releases, particularly when from the not-so-distant past, the Freephunkers club mix with its ravey pianos (Quadrant Park? Brooklyn?) turns this early Madonna-like pop song into a camp and fun eighties-flavoured anthem.
