ANDY VAZ
WAY BACK WHEN
PERSISTENCEBIT

Three tracks of finely tuned techiness from the Background Records man Andy Vaz.  Distinctly old-school in approach, “Day Light Savings” booms along under a shiny keyboard hook and clanking percussion, before morphing into a looser, more fluid workout; “Walking Up My Own Alley” works a repetitive chord to create a track-based early hours moment; which leaves the title cut, “Way Back When”, to close the EP with a hint of jazz-funk in a smoldering tech-house groove that guaranteed to get the hips moving.  Top production throughout, you can’t go far wrong with these.
