Tenerife-based Fernando Ledesma marks the second release on a new label with a taster for his upcoming ‘Sonochromatic’ album. It’s a vibrant, intoxicating take on the minimal sound with four tracks of varying intensity and attack. ‘Integrated’ is scuttling, shimmering robo-house boasting a contagious strain of mangled funk. ‘Motorcity’ is a grainy chunker underpinned with compulsive pumping. ‘Sena’is a sparse house-throbber with shadowy riffs at play. ‘Volga’ is a growling, monochrome web heading for the darkness – and also a great album by the sounds of it.
