Paul Mogg (Psychonauts)

Psychonauts – World Keeps Turning. Mogg & Naudascher
remix. Souvenir This is the new single from Pablo and I with a remix from myself & Mr Naudascher. It’s a dirty acid version that defiantly rocks.

Portishead – Machine Gun.
As always Portishead come up with something very original, going against the grain and totally anti pop. This is just fantastic.

Circlesquare – All live but the ending. Ghostly
A very, very good new single which is due sometime soon. 13 minutes of club goodness with a great groove, always moving and never boring.

Mogg & Naudascher present Moon Unit – Part 4.
Supersoul Recordings/Dfa
One of my proudest moments. This is the first vocal song that myself and Mr Naudascher have recorded together with our singer Rosalind. Mid tempo with a definate Kraut influence amongst other things. It could almost be a mistaken for a modern day nursery rhyme.

Thompson Twins – Beach culture. Arista
Summer is defiantly coming here in Berlin which made me want to listen to this one. For better or for worse this would best be described as baleric.

Quando Quando – Love tempo (mix). Factory Records
Just started playing this song again, its always been one of my favourites from Factory and still sounds contemporary today just like it did when it came out back in 83.

Toyshop – Violent Light. Off the uncertain button.
A new label and coming very soon, I think this will be the second release on 7″ vinyl. I would say very much influenced by Kraut rock but sounding totally fresh. I love it.

Dissident Label – Most but not all releases
A UK label that I am really liking at the moment, not everything I have to say but a lot of good music being released. Mid tempo, disco, Italo, house type stuff. More please.

DFA presents Supersoul Recordings – DFA.
The first album release from DFA’s Death From Abroad. A showcase of releases from the Berlin based Supersoul Recordings, which just so happens to be my partners label. Great stuff and features some of our current songs amongst other greats.

Hot Chip. One pure thought. SuperMayer remix.
Quality techno from Michael Mayer and Superpitcher. Has to be a summer early morning/late night hit. Laidback with great sounding guitars, lush piano, its deep, its kraut, its disco. I like.
