Two new releases from Switzerland’s Map Dance Records. Dario D’Atiss’ “Enjoy Yourself” sports live strings, brass, guitars and those kind of rolling beats that put it’s heart firmly in the New York / New Jersey classic uplifting club sounds, helped along in no small part by Freda Goodlett’s huge singing power. M.O.D. Productions provide some alternative mixes, pushing the vibe further, particularly on their excellent vocal mix. Orange Muse beat a similar path to the classic Garage floor, the original mix juicing a familiar disco staple, whereas Soul Central & Morten Trust offer beefier retreads. Dario D’Atiss has a slightly more original edge but both releases will fit perfectly if you work US styled classic vocals.
