So many things happen in this third album from the Australian collective that it’s difficult to keep track. Far better to stop guessing what genre they’ll end up in next and enjoy the music! It’s hugely energetic and often inspired, making good use of influences such as Prince and the B52s, but retains genuine invention such as throwing steel pans into the mix for superb single ‘Heart It Races’. ‘Like It Or Not’ starts off with trumpet and choir, while closing track ‘Same Old Innocence’ is another potential class single in the making. These are wonderful ensemble pieces, full of colour.
