Son Of Raw
A Black Man In Space

Here’s an amazing start to 2008 as prolific Dennis Ferrer pops out one of those tech-house masterworks you just know is going to cause ructions in the coming months. A taster of his upcoming The More Things Change album, this is a stunningly-deep and spaced mystery flight riding muted hypno-pulse nodding at ‘Plastic Dreams’ and ‘French Kiss’ but shot with its own special soul. The cowbell-driven Drum Mix displays intricate percussion surgery to maximum effect while the Sax Mix sure enough brings in sublime horn lines. Could be in the techno section but transcends all boundaries as an impossibly cool record.
