‘Sweaty’ is a candidate for anthem status, making some big moves towards the end of last year ahead of its release on CD. The vocal scores highly in being both singalong and shoutalong, meaning the radio edit alone has more hooks than a fishing basket. Shazam latches on to part of the vocal for a really funky, slightly 80s mix that promotes both head nodding and toe tapping, while the Juan MacLean offers a surprisingly upbeat and punchy take, majoring on the shouty part of the vocal. This is Modular all over – and what should be a good year for them is off to a cracking start.
