1. 2Pac – Do for love – What can I say about this track, one of my favourite 2Pac tracks, the production Flava and lyrics are just so good. Classic
2. James Brown – Payback – One of the first James Brown tracks I ever heard, and I just familiarise quite often with it in my life. Payback is a bitch! hehe
3. Jamiroquai – Love foolosophy – Great flared funky Disco sound, I remember being 16 and hearing this track at the local ‘Meat Market’ on a Friday night, pimpin’ baby! haha!
4. Snoop Doggy Dog – Doggy Dogg World – Completely effortless track. The combination of Snoop’s relaxed flow with Dr Dre’s Laid back G Funk Production just works so well. I often listen to this track when I wake up in the morning.
5. Stone Roses – Fools Gold – Amazing track I never get bored of, for me this was the sound of getting wasted with all my mates just after we had finished school and were wondering what to do with our lives next!
6. IMonster – Daydream in blue – Sampled by people like Lupe Fiasco, love this track so much. When the vocoded vocal comes in just gives me ‘the Shivers’ Very ahead of its time.
7. Al Greene – Tired of Being alone – Legendary track, I can remember hearing it when I was really young and not even knowing who Al Greene was! What a Sheltered life I lead! The Shame!
8. The Prodigy – Your Love – I think this along with the rest of their first LP (The prodigy Experience) was responsible for me getting into ‘Rave’ Music and eventually DnB. I can safely say that If they hadn’t been around chances are I wouldn’t be where I am today.
9. Dillinja – Jah know ya Big – Massive track for me this one. I Remember hearing the ‘Amen’ drums in it and not actually know what they were. Pretty sure I got grounded by my Dad for playing this one too loud once!
10. Lupe Fiasco – Kick Push – A hip hop track about skateboarding, what could be cooler than that!? Remember when I heard it in my car driving home from a late gig and not catching who made it! I was so upset I just knew I had to find out, and I did in the end.
