Low Motion Disco
Love Love Love Parts 1 & 2
Eskimo

Switzerland’s Low Motion Disco make their debut on the mighty Eskimo with two twelves of tumultuously rapturous power and some startlingly fresh takes on the cosmic disco sound, which was all about going where no one has gone before anyway. The original is a spangled crawler distinguished by haunting, almost Balearic piano motif which develops into a languorous hallucino-boogie. Part One starts with LSB kicking off in Balearic heaven before galvanising the boogie with deep pianos, chunky bass  and whooshy noises building a shimmering wall of melodies and counter-lines. Belgium’s Vito De Luca and DJ Stephen, aka Aeroplane, start like ‘Sympathy For The devil’ before tickling the gopher’s udders with a euphoric slab of prime space-boogie. Part Two’s first remix comes from DFA’s Still Going [Rub ‘N’ Tug’s Eric Duncan and Olivier Spencer of Manthraxx], a dense, monstrous drone-beast, radioactive bollocks swinging under quivering internal resonance and unexpectedly but effectively topped with rock guitar solo near the end. Brighton’s Soft Rocks retain the slow tempo for a subtle, sensual sway spiced with muted guitar riff and breathy vocal. Paradise all round.
