Five track EP follows last year’s twelve for Crosstown Rebels unveiling a new project of innate simplicity: deep, pulsing house with minimal underpants. Subtlety is the key here as tracks chug through intricate, sparingly-used groove-webs, often underpinned by rustling electronic undergrowth, drifting organs or tap-dripping effect. These men have the science of the deep groove down to a fine art, never forgetting the floor but bent on giving it new shades.
