Besides being a crucial DJ and production wizard partly responsible for the development of Chicago acid-house, DJ Pierre later influenced the sound of New York’s more disco-fied house with his tenure as an in-house producer for Strictly Rhythm. A man of many guises, he returns to his best-loved acid sound for this mad trip that harks back to his groundbreaking work as Pierre’s Pfantasy Club and Phortune pseudonyms. There’s a phat pack of mixes that also includes a rather tasty Glenn Underground reworking with an emphasis on mind enveloping grooves and crazed wordology.
