Another monster alert and little surprise that it’s got Dubfire’s name attached to a remix which not only joins his other recent bombs in mashing up the world’s dancefloors but celebrates the second anniversary of Matt Edwards always-gripping Rekids label with a bang. Numerous sources say that this was the tune which blew the leaves off the palm trees at Miami. Boasting a bass like Phil Mitchell’s scrotum, a snare like a stoat’s sudden erection on overhead cables and a nasty descendant of the Phuture voice, it proceeds to jack deliriously causing untold damage. Ominous, claustrophobic and scary but utterly compelling and carried by its unrelenting goat-busting groove power. This is not to belittle two further top treatments: Danton Eeprom, who takes the dark drone highway to hell messing with the vocals to create a supreme turbo-racket in its own right and Terrence Fixmer, unfortunately only on the digital version with his more melodic take. Happy birthday! What a cake!
