Sasha fave ‘Head Down’ concentrates on building relentless hypnotic groove-power with chunky chords. It’s elevated by three highly-contrasting remixes: Belgium’s Spirit Catcher cooks up an exotic blend of space disco and classic Detroit techno; Of Norway [Lil’ Wolf and Chris Lynch] plunge the original melody into a lush, deep house setting while Ribside takes a downbeat ride under shimmering string samples and warm melodies. Meanwhile, ‘No Static’ whips up an electronic tribal tension booming with resonant frequencies. Another great package on this unstoppable label.
