Even over in Melbourne, Australia, Hiddenform was another label which suffered at the hands of the Amato crash but honcho Dimitri Frost now reappears with new lease of life energy with Chris Cargo [responsible for the recent ‘Cowgirl’ bootleg] and Spain’s Paco Buggin from the Boncho label. They’ve turned in a pair of tech-flavoured house-stonkers, horses’ todgers swinging from driving, tribal-tinged groove peppered with classic stabs on track A, which takes its title from the ‘bang to the beat of the drum’ hook. ‘Messages’ injects extra funk element with meaty bass and percussion and vocal bits.
