Jockstraps can be expected to detonate here as Lot49 label bosses Mark Pember and Marvin Beaver join forces for their first collaboration since 2002’s ‘Moist’. ‘Roll Player’ is a rolling, bass-propelled galloper with early 90s Frankfurt-style stabs, coming with spacey breaks mix from Specimen A which is quite complex the way it manoeuvres the nasty riffs. ‘Long Acre’ turns on the pressure with a full-on pelter whose tough, metallic sheen is then roughed up into a truly malevolent charger of spectacular power by Mike Hulme of Introspective before getting a nifty re-edit from Dylan.
