If you’ve OD’d on Lady Gaga but still crave your electro-punk fit then step a little closer. Luciana is anything but a copyist, having already graced singles for Bodyrox, Super Mal, Portobella, Martijn Ten Velden and Michael Grey, and Static Revenger and Richard Vission’s track record speak volumes in the UK and US respectively. While Gaga wants to “ride your disco stick”, Luciana’s euphemism de jour is “I like your pocket rocket”, but the end result is one seriously listenable slice of dance music made with daytime radio in mind. The story goes that this was even given the thumbs up by Hef and the Bunnies at the Playboy Mansion when RV was spinning there. But don’t let an 83 year olds taste in music dispel you… this is every bit the angst-punk-funk-electro-dancer you could wish for and more. Oh, and the video’s equally fantastic too.
