LA’s Absurd score another corker for their ninth release with a hefty teamup between Bremen’s Nils Penner and Johnjon plus German-Vietname/Canadian duo Chopstick. ‘Sun Sets In The East’ sets up a chugging groove which gains steam percussively and unexpectedly dropping to a classic rave moment. ‘Sun Sets In The West’ takes its time to establish a sparkling subterranean house trail but worth the wait. Bpitch’s Holger Zilske’s subtly intricate remix is a lovely bonus.
