Taking its name from Phuture’s early 90s classic might give an indication of the manifesto to be explored by this new label started from the heart of Barcelona’s firing club underground. San Jose’s Lady Blaktronika has been pursuing her chosen path, homaging the soul and spirit of the Detroit underground and Chicago old school since the late 80s and obviously really knows her techno soul, going on this deep and hallucinogenic set. ‘Lose My Life’ layers vocals over floatation pads, its Dark Love Beatdown Dub adding a disembodied, druggy new dimension. Mattski Avalos, shimmers and skitters with Rhodes tones and ethereal vocal before the dreamy ‘Never Everything’ rounds off a fantastic maiden voyage for this new alebl [and will hopefully get the Lady noticed as a major talent].
