Stardust – Music Sounds Better With You
One of the first dance music videoclips I saw and that was really meaningful for me. Takes me back to when I realized being a DJ and a producer was what I really wanted to do with my life so it encopasses that sweet nostalgia of the french touch.
Daft Punk – One More Time
Probably the most iconic dance music track and that had the biggest influence not only in dance music producers but also in hip hop and other genres. Daft Punk were always in the sonic forefront.
AC/DC – Thunderstruck
My all time favorite guitar riff. It’s a childhood memory as it was a power play in my parents stereo.
The Offspring – Americana
Offspring are a teenage dream, aren’t they? It takes me back to my youth and I still listen to the album frequently. Also these sounds do have an influence in some of my chosen chords and arrements, so there you have it, from teenage dream to mainstage!
Linkin Park – In The End
I used to listen to this album, “Hybrid Theory”, as a lullaby, to rock me – literally – to sleep. Just as The Offspring it reminds me of my teenage years and has a clear influence in my music.
Terror Squad ft Fat Joe, Remy Ma – Lean Back
This tune reminds me of a game I used to play a lot, “Need For Speed Underground 2”, and it’s one of my old school favorite hip hop tracks.
James Brown – Sex Machine
I had a James Brown CD that one of my aunts gave me when I was around 6 years old, and I’d listen to it all day, mimicking the dance moves and the singing.
Guns & Roses – Knocking on Heaven’s Door
Guns & Roses has a similar story, it’s a childhood memory, I had the CD and would spend the whole day listening and singing.
The Eagles – Hotel California
The best guitar solo ever, I love this song.
Pink Floyd – Shine on You Crazy Diamond
This is a memory of my parents and my childhood vacations with them, where Pink Floyd was the soundtrack playing. This song, along with the previous ones, influence my music and I hope this is the best compliment I can give to all my musical heroes.
