Back To Mine with I am a Vowel

This is the sounds of I am a Vowel when she invites you, ‘Back To Mine’

Margaret Dygas – Frankly

From the album  Invisible Circles  out on Perlon on 2009
This one should be play at the beginning of the after party to ! I really enjoy the vibe of this track, so dreamy groovy trippy ! Good track to introduce audience to more experimental side of techno (like all perlon productions i guess!)

Raresh – Vivaltu

This track was release on  [a:rpia:r] Dec 2014. This one could be a good intro to the after party!  This one is a pearl of minimal techno, it’s music for body and brain.

Mira Calix – Rightclick

I have always love Mira Calix works, this one is taken from the ‘utopia’ EP, witch one was out on Warp record at the beginning of the year. I should play this one at the beginning of the after party to bring a little bit of dementia mood to the moment.

Shackleton – Blood On My Hands (Ricardo Villalobos’ Apocalypso Now Mix)

I really love this track from an album out on Skull Disco on 2007. Two of my favorite producers worked on this and i really love this dark and trippy  track. The voice, the kind of chaotic beats brings me so far.

Modul – Ole

From the Album 123 out on 2008 on Scape label. Taken from an atmospherique and smooth album, this track is really hypnotic. The full album is so trippy, there is a special vibe on this track, it sounds out of time. One of my essentials to fall into sleep.

Swimming Pool – End Title the First Shower

This track is taken from Hans Appelqvist’s Album “Swimming Pool” witch was Out February 2017 on orange Milk Records. I like the sensuality of the voices on this one. I would play this one at the end just before going to sleep, like story bed time.

Aoki Takamasa – A Girl At The Corner

This track is from the album “Quantum” , it was out in 2003 on the label for experimental and electronic music cirque. It’s always sounds so elegant and warm to me. As I am travelling a lot this one is one of the tracks that always makes me feel at home and comfortable at the end of the night.

Pete Namlook & Richie Hawtin – Future Surfacing (What Lies Ahead)

This tracks come from the album From Within 2 whish one is part of the trilogie From Within by Pete Namlook and Richie Hawtin. It was released in 1995, on the label  FAX +49-69/450464 and it have been reissued on the label Ambient World in 2006. It’s difficult to choose only one track for this albums first because there all are beautiful and also cause the 3 discs coming together are really a piece of art  ! I chose this track because it’s the longest. It’s like a reflexe, at the end of the end of the after party to play this album, lay down and half awake let me transporte by the sound. It’s like floating in another dimension. One of the best music creation i have ever heard!

The Little Glass – Akira Rabelais, Harold Budd

I love this really long track, bring me a lot of calm, clarity and peace of mind, moving my body and mind through space and time 🙂 This one should be play in last, just before falling asleep.

Andy Stott – We Stay Together

This track is from the album Luxury Problems from Andy Stott released on Modern Love in 2012. I love the really organic and sensual mood of this track. The voices sounds out of this world, so enveloping and touching. Sensual & peaceful subtle track, i should play it just when the sun is coming out!

The ‘io’ EP features the return of I Am a Vowel to the label, a London-based producer whose sound draws parallels with the likes of Laurie Anderson, Popol Vuh, Tangerine Dream and AGF. Over the course of four tracks here, she reminds us just why this is the case.
