Back To Mine with Spartaque

It’s rare these days that we come across an artist who gets our musical pulses moving quite like the Ukraine born, Barcelona-based Spartaque. The owner of the Codex label, he’s known for pushing an agenda that veers toward the harder side of techno, although anyone who’s caught his sets will also know all too well that he’s just as effective when he’s engaging his more soulful and introspective side. Indeed, his selections for us are symbolic of his penchant for a hook, with classic tracks by Oxia running shoulders with numbers tracks by the likes of Vitalic. With his latest EP set to drop any day now (a stunning collaboration called ‘My Religion’), we thought it a good time to enlist the man in question for some of his favourite Back 2 Mine jams. Needless to say, he didn’t disappoint!

Oxia – Domino [Sapiens]

This track is pure classics, which brings me back to my roots and always stays in my personal platinum status.

Agoria – Baboul Hair (Gui Boratto Remix) [Different]

One of the best tracks made by Brazilian genius Gui Boratto, this remix is just a masterpiece, I will loose my pants if someone will play it at after.

Kiko – Slave Of My Mind [Different]

This track is one of the best productions made by Kiko in my humble opinion. The vocal is just magnificent and together with amazing sound they forward you to the real musical journey out of space.

Mason – You Are Not Alone [DOORN RECORDS]

Pretty commercial choice for this list but I really love this tune and will be insanely happy to dance with it at any after party.

Vitalic, David Shaw and The Beat – Waiting For The Stars [Clivage Music (UMG)]

This track is one of the newest one in this list, but I am big fan of Vitalic and this collaboration is brilliant. The vocal, the musical idea, the groove – everything is perfect in this track.

Djuma Soundsystem – Les Djins (Trentemoeller Remix) [Audiomatique Recordings

After party is always a place where the magic happens and this remix by Trentemoeller is just a pure magic. The melodies, the vibe, everything is perfect in this track.

Fairmont – Gazebo (Patrice Baumel Remix) [Sapiens]

This remix by Patrice Baumel is like a time machine to the best afters I had in my life. Closing my eyes, listening to the track and feeling myself once again surrounded by the good friends celebrating the sunrise at the coast of Black Sea.

Solee – Impressed [Parquet Recordings]

Solee was always one of the best inspirations for me and his track Impressed is one of the best he did so far. I will be extremely happy to hear this tune at after party.

Tiga – You Gonna Want Me [Different]

Real electro superstar Tiga has released many after party hymns during his outstanding career, in this list I was to mention one of the first ones I’ve heard from him.

Tiga - You gonna want me

Gregor Tresher – A Thousand Nights [Great Stuff Recordings]

Hard to imagine the person who influenced electronic music more then Gregor Tresher and I am proud to include his track A Thousand Nights released on legendary German label Great Stuff into my essential after party chart.
