‘Release Myself’ is an enticing house roller featuring zesty shimmering bass grooves, revolving percussion and irresistible vocals in this effervescent cut that would light up any dancefloor.

Adrian Hour – That’s It

I figured I’d start off with a track in my “Favorite Bangers” section of my Rekordbox. I’ve been listening to Adrian for quite some time so it was a little difficult for me not to go total fanboy around him when we played the Toolroom 15 event in New York a few years back.

Tone Troy – Release Myself

This one is a little special for me. Being that I am a NYC native, it was a milestone in my career to have something signed by Nervous. I took influence from the booming low end of some vinyl tunes and threw that onto some modern day tech house patterns. Release Myself is the outcome!

Ant LaRock – Grown Ups

Ant LaRock’s production is incredible, and the friendship I have with him is something I hold very dear, especially in this industry. This is one of my favorite tunes by him. Has just enough classic house vibes with a touch of that hip-hop attitude.

Adelphi Music Factor – Uprising (I Can’t Wait)

Pure. Energy.

ADELPHI MUSIC FACTORY - UPRISING (AMF003)

Mambo Brothers – Eso Es

Once upon a time I ended up closing out this show in San Diego, and honestly, I was beyond nervous for it. The lineup consisted of some pretty well known progressive house acts; and I was coming in as a Vocal Tech House DJ. I felt the crowd out for a few tracks but this track hit so perfectly, I’ll never forget that dancefloor reaction for the rest of my life.

Booka Shade – Trespass (Mark Knight Remix)

Mark Knight was the reason I got into house music in the first place. This is my favorite record of his.

Rufus Du Sol – Treat You Better (Cassian Remix)

I’ve seen Rufus Du Sol live more than any other act in my lifetime. I am a big fan of Cassian’s sound as well. I think that this remix is emotional, heavy, and bright. I have closed many sets with this track.

Dan Shake – The Bee Won

I love this record so much. It’s fun, it bumps, and it brings that low end energy to the dance floor.

wAFF – Bondage

If you have 10 minutes to listen to one record, give this one a shot. Straight toughness from intro to outro.

Mat.Joe – Nighthawk (Dosem Remix)

Honestly, I could have put down 11 Dosem tracks on this list. First off, Mat.Joe put out bangers consistently and I’m excited to see what they are going to do with their PRIMA label. Secondly, having Dosem come in to do a remix on a track that’s already amazing on its own is quite the daunting task. If you haven’t heard this remix, I am jealous that you have the chance to experience this record for the first time. Throw those headphones on.

Chris Montana Vs Denis The Menace – Spanish Hustle (Chris Moody Remix)

Closing up my list I need to throw this one on there. This might not fit with the rest of the selections but it defines an era for me. A few years back I sort of lied my way into a Residency at this small lower east side club called Louie & Chan. It was a hip hop spot normally but once a month they let my friends and I run a night. I’m pretty sure this played at every single event we had. Raise a tequila and enjoy.
