On June 24, 2019, an enigmatic French production duo going by the name of GoldStone unveiled their debut single ‘All I Know’ to the world. A three-minute disco-inspired vocal cut released on esteemed independent label Wagram Music, ‘All I Know’ was dropped alongside a sun-drenched, dance-filled music video shot in the township of Soweto, South Africa. Racking up a staggering 150,000 views on YouTube in less than a week and with momentum continuing to build, the mysterious GoldStone also just dropped an extraordinary remix package to accompany their inaugural musical offering, including cuts from Breakbot and French Size. We sat down with GoldStone to find out more…

Hey DMC World. Thanks for your interest!

Please can you introduce yourselves to our DMC World readers?

We are 2 French producers and musicians living in Canal St Martin in the 10arr of Paris. We met on the street!

Congrats on the release of you debut single All I Know. Can you talk to us about the record?

Thanks a lot. The recording began in my studio with a yukule and some drum beats. Also I was singing some words in English and I decided to insert a sample of children singing.Then Manu said we need children in the chorus too! Great idea!

How did the introduction to Wagram Music come about?

We have been knwing Wagram for a long time. Manu sent the song to the boss Stephan Bourdoiseau.He really enjoyed the title and said let’s go and now here we are!!!Thx a lot to Stephan B.

You’ve just released a remix package including an amazing edit from Breakbot. What’s the story behind this?

We love Breakbot’s music. A very good friend of mine is his drummer, and we know his brother too who is himself a great producer. The rework radio edit has been done by Clément Savoye from the Teeers and Seb Lipszyc from La Plage Records! French size is a young producer working also for La Plage Records.

What are your favourite pieces of studio equipment?

My studer console. And for Manu his 1962 Strat Fender!

What’s the music scene in Paris like right now? Do you go out a lot?

The music scene in Paris is fat. Lots of French bands that we’re into.We love “Teeers” and the Papooz but there is also Orelsan, Lomepal, Romeo Elvis…and of course the older one like Cassius, Phoenix, Breakbot, Justice…I could go on and on…

Top 5 favourite acts at the moment?

Toro y Moi – Tom Mish – Unknown Mortal Orchestra – Jacob Collier – Vulpeck.

What have you got planned for the rest of the year?

We are working on new songs to realise a new ep for the end of the year!
